Isotopie

Isotopie is trying to make visible a phenomenon specific to urbanism. The fact that the concept of “global village” is making similar in several points, most major cities. In two places (in Quebec, Canada and in Coustellet, France), slow travelling shots of different spaces, landscapes and buildings are made. During the editing, two shots of different places coexist by an inversion process. The mirrored movement destabilizes the viewer's perception while suggesting a similarity of the landscapes. It also refers to the idea of speed linked to our societies and engages the spectator to change his viewpoint during his own future displacements.

With the support of La Bande video (Quebec city, Canada), the espace culture multimédia La Gare (Coustellet, France),
the Office Franco-Québécois pour la jeunesse and the Consulat général de France à Québec
