Isotopie installationvideo Isotopie is trying to make visible a phenomenon specific to urbanism. The fact that the concept of global village is making similar in several points, most major cities. In two places (in Quebec, Canada and in Coustellet, France), slow travelling shots of different spaces, landscapes and buildings are made. During the editing, two shots of different places coexist by an inversion process.

The scroll of the two bands occurs in two opposite directions, creating an awkward temporality, a distended spatiality, a nonsense. At center stage, to link two images together, unfolds a long ribbon. This is embodied in the form of an asphalt road. The road is regarded here as a link, a marker of this endless journey or this incongruous track-stand. The only similar space, able to connect, to link, to make uniform, close, coherent two space-times disjointed.
